About Us

Welcome to the Nordic Bengali Association! We are a new community in Stockholm with a shared dream: to build a home away from home by celebrating our roots, culture, and traditions. This year is especially close to our hearts, as we're organizing our very first Durga Puja in Sweden. Durga Puja is more than just a festival for us; it's a time for togetherness, joy, music, food, and the warmth of familiar traditions. It's the sound of the dhaak, the fragrance of incense, the sparkle in children’s eyes, and the shared laughter of friends who feel like family. It's a celebration of love, resilience, and community spirit.

Our vision is to create a space where Bengalis and friends of Bengal, from all backgrounds and generations, can come together, connect, and keep our rich heritage alive while embracing the beautiful diversity of the Nordic region. We invite you to be part of this journey: to celebrate, volunteer, share a meal, sing along, and make memories. This is just the beginning, and with every smile, every drumbeat, and every prayer, we'll build a tradition that will grow stronger year after year.

Join Our Effort

NBA will host dozens of events every year, ranging from festivals such as Durga Puja and Diwali to marathon movie nights and music competitions. Memberships are limited and open to both Indians and Swedes interested in engaging with Indian diaspora and promoting integration with the Swedish society. Registration is now open.
